CV Yachts · Base Information
A historic coastal harbour on the southeastern tip of Attica — your gateway to the Saronic Islands and the Cyclades.
About the Base
Lavrio Port is the third-largest passenger port in the Athens area, serving the southeast coast of Attica. The town of Lavrio itself has a long history stretching back to the Neolithic period and has long been an important hub of Greek seafaring and industry.
Our base is located right at the port, with cafes, restaurants, banks, and shops all within easy walking distance. It's a quieter, more relaxed departure point than central Athens — ideal for those who want to get straight onto the water.
Getting Here
Lavrio is approximately 45 minutes from Athens Airport. Here are your options:
Find the bus to Lavrio between Exits 2 and 3 at arrivals, opposite the Airport Hotel. Buses run roughly every hour from 06:30 to 20:30, with a final departure at 22:00. Change at Markopoulo for the connection to Lavrio.
Taxis are available at the rank right outside arrivals. Up to 3 passengers with luggage, or 4 without. Note that most taxis accept cash only — check before you get in. Night fares (midnight–6am) are higher.
approx. €60Pre-book a minivan through us and your driver will be waiting at arrivals with a sign bearing your name, taking you directly to the yacht. Fits up to 8 passengers with luggage.
€110 · €140 (midnight–6am)Free parking is available right next to the port. Please note there is no surveillance, so we recommend not leaving valuables in your vehicle.
Free parkingDon't wait around at the port — leave your bags with us for free and spend the day exploring the nearby beaches or the legendary Temple of Poseidon at Sounion, just a short drive away.
If you're arriving after 7pm, we'll be there to hand over the keys and take care of the essentials. Full check-in takes place the following morning from 9am.
Embarkation
When you arrive, head directly to the CV Yachts Lavrio base office. Our team will walk you through every step. We recommend arriving ahead of your scheduled embarkation time with your sailing licences ready.

In place of the full deposit, you may opt for a damage waiver — a non-refundable fee that reduces your liability in case of damage to €650. A refundable portion of €650 is also returned at disembarkation. Obligatory for skippered and crewed charters.
Any extras specified in your charter contract are settled at base, payable in cash or by bank transfer alongside the charter fee.
